Claims Procedure

In the event of a claim, please take the following steps:-

1. All claims

• Notify the insurance company and have the notice acknowledged.
• As soon as possible give the insurer full particulars of the loss In writing including information and evidence in the form and as requested by the insurer.
• Fill and submit the necessary claim forms to the insurer
• Give any other assistance that the insurer may require.
• Cooperate with the insurer’s duly appointed agents such as loss adjusters, assessors and investigators.

2. Property Claims

• Please notify the police immediately of any loss or damage due to theft, malice, riots and strikes. Also obtain an abstract.

3. Liability

• Upon receipt of any demand notice, do not admit liability. Instead send any letter, claim, writ or summons to the insurer
• Immediately you get knowledge of, urgently proceed to notify any related prosecution, inquest or fatal enquiry to the insurer
• Do not without the written consent of the insurer make any admission, offer or promise of payment
  the insurer shall be entitled.

Note:-
Insurance Companies normally appoint investigators to ascertain particular claims. If this happens, kindly accord the investigators the necessary cooperation.
